“I am a fourth-year student and study Mathematical Economics at Penn. Thanks to PrimeraGlobal, I completed a three-month internship in a startup in the Summer of 2023: in between my second and third year of college. While doing my internship, I had the opportunity to work in and visit three amazing countries: Colombia, Peru, and Mexico. Each of those experiences brought me a unique set of valuable experiences. From living with a family for 6 weeks, to living alone in a city with the freedom and desire to explore, each place brought its own challenge as well as a rewarding moment.

Additionally, being an intern allowed me to develop a wide range of tools. From navigating professional meetings solely in Spanish to writing and building machine learning models with real impact, this experience gave me the agency to grow and learn more about what interested me. The compay’s team also supported me the entire way by allowing me to participate in important meetings, give my own insight, and ask as many annoying questions as I could!
